About Us

Approach, Experience & Current Services

At Inner Clarity Counselling, I am committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate and evidence-based clinical counselling services. I strive to create a safe and supportive space for clients as they explore and heal, guiding the process while following their lead.

Since 2010, I have been working in the field of mental health and wellness. I am registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, having completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology followed by a Master of Counselling Psychology degree. I believe in the importance of continued learning, both professionally and personally, and keep up to date on new trainings and research in the counselling field. â€‹

Currently, I offer online video and phone appointments for clients throughout BC.

Counselling Services

My therapeutic approach is holistic, integrative and eclectic. The foundation of my practice is the humanistic perspective, I build on this with techniques from many different therapeutic models, all through a trauma informed and culturally aware lens. This includes strategies and interventions from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, emotion-focused therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT),  acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), experiential therapies, EMDR and many others.

Through the combination of these approaches, I help clients create a customized mental wellness skillset, while they gain understanding of themselves, others and their environment. This awareness is what I understand to be inner clarity, it is the first step in building a more integrated sense of self and creating opportunity for intentional choice and healthy new patterns.

We can all benefit from putting aside time to care for ourselves, sort our inner worlds and realign our lives with the values that mean the most to us. Counselling is a great place to start!

Fees

An initial 15-minute consultation is offered free of charge to give us the opportunity to meet, answer questions and see if my counselling style may be a good match for you. My current fee for a 60 minute appointment is $110 CAD.

Funding for counselling may be available to you. Some funding sources include the Crime Victim's Assistance Program, the First Nations Health Authority Mental Health Benefit,  and the Métis Counselling Connection Program. I am registered to provide funded counselling through these programs.

Extended health benefit and insurance plans often include reimbursement for counselling. Contact your benefits provider to learn more. Many employers also provide employee assistance plans (EAPs) that cover the cost of brief counselling. I am available to provide EAP through certain providers, including Telus Health (formerly Lifeworks), Humanacare and Walmsley & Associates.
